Old Bay Homes was founded by Breck Kraft, who has worked in the construction management industry since 1986. Before starting his own company, he served in various capacities for large, national home builders and smaller regional and local builders as a superintendent, project manager, area manager, Director of Field Operations and V.P. of Construction in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.
"I see my role as helping home-owners realize their dreams and visions. They tell me what they envision for their new or renovated home, and I find a way to get it designed and build it, working with their budget and time constraints to make sure the project proceeds smoothly through all stages and is as stress-free an experience for them as possible." - Breck Kraft
Breck grew up in a large family just outside of Washington D.C. From an early age he was involved in construction. In high school, working for his best friend's family-owned realty and plumbing business, he was involved in everything from sweeping floors to full bathroom renovations, rental property maintenance and full interior tear out/rebuilds of many row houses in the city. Often taking on side jobs painting properties, building decks or doing odd jobs, gaining contracts with various small hardware companies for window and door replacements storm door and shower door replacements and the like.
